just because

A Fred Williams that never was (circa 1988).

05-November-2009

I used to work on a ferry and the boat came out of the water every year. It often felt like a shame to cover up the marks that time and tide had etched onto the hulls. They would have taken pride of place in any gallery anywhere if they'd been done consciously by a sentient being.

hey Graham, your right it was the a boat beside the cat when it was out of the water at Bulimba. I remember you telling me to be careful as some owners might get stroppy have their hulls photographed, something to do with insurance. You boat owners are a colourful lot! (lol) I got about a dozen different hulls that time including the cat-o-nine tails. I still find them amazing.
